This 2.5-day course takes place over 2 days, including an evening practice on Day 1.
ICAgile Certified Professional
The Agile Mindset
Agile is a way of thinking and a way of operating. To get the true benefits of agile, it is important to look beyond frameworks and processes to the agile mindset.
This course is designed to help attendees understand how to build and adopt an agile mindset. It is a non-technical course, focusing on how to apply agile to any situation, not just software.
This course is a wonderful starting point for further development in the ICAgile curriculum. It explores the underlying values, principles and practices of agile, helping attendees experience and understand them. The course balances providing a solid appreciation of agile thinking, while also providing practical outcomes that can immediately be put to use based on real world experience.
The course is taught using an experiential approach, where attendees interact with the content in a very participative, activity-based way. We make extensive use of games, activities, peer-learning, reflection and Lego Serious Play.
Attendees receive the ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) credential. Participants can also claim 16 PDUs (Professional Development Units) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and contribute these towards the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Certification.
At the end of this course, students will understand:
The Agile mindset, values and principles
Where agile does and doesn’t apply
Kanban and Scrum
Building successful teams
