About this class
This is an intensive interactive experience that provides an opportunity to discover where you are in your Agile Coach journey and to learn new skills and techniques to progress further and faster in that journey. In all, you will learn fifteen tools to use with your teams. More than two thirds of the workshop is spent in fun interactive group activities with between 2-5 people depending on the activity. The activities include a variety of unique games for learning and many incorporate the option of using materials you may have on hand such as Legos. The workshop is methodology agnostic. What you learn is applicable for coaching in any Agile-oriented environment whether people are using Scrum, kanban, SAFe, LeSS, or any other Agile-oriented set of practices.

Damon Poole

Damon has coached at dozens of organizations and trained thousands of people across a wide variety of industries and company sizes including EMC, Capital One, Oanda, Ford, and Fidelity. He's delivered over a hundred sessions at meetups and conferences including Agile Alliance, Agile New England, Kentucky Fried Agile, Atlassian Summit, Agile and Beyond, and Agile Toronto. As a coach of coaches at Eliassen, Damon led the Agile Delivery team which grew to hundreds of Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches in the field. He created Eliassen's Agile Transformation approach and the training content across all aspects of Agile, and led the effort to provide opportunities for the coaches to advance in their coaching journey. This background gave Damon the opportunity to learn from hundreds of Agile Coaches in an enormous variety of client environments and from the wider international Agile community. ICAgile does not have any prerequisites, but occasionally a training provider may have their own. Please check the training provider’s website to see if there are specific prerequisites for the class you are interested in.

Through the accreditation process, ICAgile verifies that every training provider assesses student knowledge before the student earns a certificate. Assessment may be completed through in-class activities, group exercises, or an exam, as determined by the training provider. Please contact the training provider to find out if an exam is required to earn a certification.

Once you have earned an ICAgile-accredited certification, the certification is yours to keep. We don’t charge any renewal fees or require continuing education credits. We want you to be able to invest your time and resources into continuing your learning journey.
